FoscaMUN: English presentation
The annual FOSCAMUN project came into being thanks to cooperation between Carol Baur Internacional of Quéretaro and Mexico City and Liceo Marco Foscarini of Venice, supported by students and teachers keen to bring the invaluable experience of a Model United Nations to a broader spectrum of students and staff in their own school.
A Model United Nations is a simulation of the debate and committees of the United Nations. Participants follow a strict protocol and rules of procedure. Before the event, delegates are informed of the country they have been assigned so as to allow for adequate preparation. A delegate representing an assigned country must respect the actual position of that country on the issues being debated and endeavour to obtain approval of a resolution written together with delegates of allied states.
